MASTERCLASS

Bring HowlyBallet to Your Studio

Martin travels to schools and studios across the UK — and internationally — to deliver immersive, in-person masterclasses. Real professional technique, taught live, to your students, in your space.

What a Masterclass Visit Includes

A masterclass visit isn’t a guest class squeezed into a normal timetable. It’s a full, focused session — technique broken down properly, the same modern, video-led, no-fear approach as every other HowlyBallet class, delivered live to your students by someone who’s danced the roles professionally.

Every class covers the real fundamentals — technique, posture, alignment, positions, strength, and control — built alongside musicality and artistry, because the actual ability to dance by the end of class matters just as much as the technical building blocks. Expect to work hard and get a real sweat on. This isn’t a class built around talking and listening; it’s fully immersive.

And it’s not built around perfection. Martin isn’t interested in producing the perfect dancer — he’s interested in development: taking a student’s improvement, however small, and turning it into something sustainable, with the training methods and strategy to keep building on it long after the class ends. That’s the approach in every session, with every student, everywhere.

Session Options (UK)

3 Hours — £500 + travel

A focused session covering technique, strength and conditioning, and combination work — suited to schools wanting a concentrated, high-impact visit. Includes a 15-minute lecture and Q&A.

5 Hours — £750 + travel, accommodation and expenses

A full masterclass day, with more time to go deeper on technique, artistry, and individual correction across a wider range of levels. Includes a 30-minute Q&A.

Travel is charged at 45p per mile.

International — £700–£1,000 per day

For a 5-hour teaching day, based on a minimum booking of 3 teaching days (plus 2 travel days either side). Flights, 4-star accommodation, ground transport, and a meal per diem are arranged and covered by the host. Exact rate confirmed on enquiry, depending on location and dates.

Who This Is For

Dance schools, studios, and companies looking to give their students direct access to elite, professional-level training — whether as a one-off special event, an exam or audition prep boost, or a regular fixture in the calendar.

Age and level are never a barrier. Martin teaches everyone from age 4 to 94, and every level from first-timer to advanced — the masterclass is built around who’s in the room, not the other way around.

Session Terms

To keep the quality of teaching consistent throughout the day, Martin teaches in blocks of no more than 90 minutes at a time, with a 15-minute break between each block to reset and prepare for the next session. This is a fixed part of booking a masterclass visit, and should be factored into your schedule for the day.

Filming during class is welcome. If you’d like dedicated filming of something specific — for example, at the end of a class — that time needs to be factored into the booking, rather than taken out of the teaching time you’ve booked.

Travel & Accommodation Policy

Martin is based in Gomersal, West Yorkshire, and travels UK-wide (and internationally) for masterclass visits.

For visits requiring more than roughly 150 miles or 3 hours’ drive each way, the 5-hour session is the minimum booking, since shorter visits aren’t practical once travel is factored in.

Where that travel would push the total day past around 12 hours (early departure, late return), the host school is asked to arrange and cover a hotel for the night before, so the class itself is delivered fresh and on schedule.

Travel is charged at 45p per mile in addition to the session fee.

Interested in a Visit?

To enquire about a Masterclass Visit, please complete the form below with as much detail as possible. Martin already travels nationally to teach a large and established client base, and any new visit means taking a day away from paid teaching work — so full details on your proposed dates, venue and group are needed up front to properly consider and cost each booking. Please allow a few days for a reply confirming availability.
